🎮World’s first playable guide
Good Morning Switchers 🤗
👋 Welcome to Switch Daily with that feeling of the waiter bringing you the order early when you’re hungry.
Let’s dive straight in!
Remember that new kid in class who’d top the toppers and shock the gawkers? Yep, we’ve got two of those in the DeFi arena! L2 scaling solutions, Arbitrum and Optimism have both flipped Ethereum rival Solana in total value locked (TVL) and the number of projects deployed on the network. And guess what? Arbitrum doesn’t even have a native token yet!
Here’s what we’ve got for you:

Market pulse 📈
The market is like red cherry tomatoes🍅
The broader crypto market turned around this Thursday and started moving in a downward trajectory. As expected in the last session, the bearish session resulted from US economic indicators and the Federal Reserve.
Dogecoin (DOGE) led the way down, with SOL, ETH, and ADA also witnessing losses. However, while the dominant crypto Bitcoin (BTC) did see red movement, it avoided going below the $20,000 level for an eighth consecutive day.
While big players started moving down, Polygon (MATIC) turned green with an increase of over 7.5% in the last 24 hours, approaching $1. At the time of writing, MATIC was priced at $0.935.
🕹️Why read a whitepaper when you can play it?👾👻
So yesterday we were feeling pretty damn confident. We were like, “hey, we are totally all caught up with this new age web3 tech because we understand and know everything about this up-and-coming internet.”
Cut to our bubble burst moment when we came across the world’s first whitepaper about a web3 game which itself is a game — Delysium.
(PS. Whitepapers are just informational documents or guides issued by a company to highlight the features of a product or service that it offers or plans to offer.)
It's like when Pheobe from Friends said, “they don't know that we know they know we know.” Hein?! Feeling like Joey trying to speak French, huh? Well, same.
Delysium’s whitepaper stood out because unlike other web3 gaming projects with well-explained but basic pdfs for whitepapers, Delysium committed fully to being a gaming project by explaining its product (which is a game) using a game.
Furthermore, the whitepaper game played the trick because Delysium recently announced that it reached 1 million views on it.
Web3 gaming is taking over not just the gaming industry but also ongoing blockchain activity. Earlier this year, a report by DappRadar x BGA Games pointed out that blockchain-based game playing increased by 2,000% since Q1 of 2021, equating to 52% of all blockchain activity.
Oh, btw we’d also like more views so check out our newsletter about India’s web3 gaming scene. And after reading that, quickly drop by our YouTube channel to get an even better understanding of what exactly is happening with blockchain-based gaming in India.
India's First Blockchain Taxi App

What's making the headlines? 🤨
Canada-based Bitcoin miner Digihost has managed to maintain a good cash flow and debt-free position, according to the company’s latest press release. The Nasdaq-listed firm mined 74.58 BTC in October 2022. That’s a 78% increase compared to October 2021.
Shiba Inu released a players guide booklet on 2 November 2022, even as the project’s lead developer confirmed that the Shibarium updates are likely to take place later this month. The player guide is for the Shiba Eternity game, which was launched last month after much anticipation.
The top 50 investors have let go of 761 million tokens, valued at around $110 million, in the last seven days alone, according to the on-chain analytics platform Lookonchain. However, despite the mass sell-off, Dogecoin’s price has remained surprisingly steady. The price was, in fact, up 107%, week-on-week.
