The market is peeping out 😶‍🌫️

The broader crypto market manages to start the week on a positive note, up by 0.60% at release and BTC at 0.35%. Ethereum, managed to gain more than 9%, week-on-week, validating Merge-related optimism all over again. Cardano (ADA) is the only crypto to end the week with a double-digit uptick. Buoyed by the “hard date” announcement regarding its upcoming upgrade, ADA registered a 15.13% upmove over the past seven days. For now, it is looking robust—up by 2.19% in the past 24 hours.

While randomly googling, we fumbled across this term — de-Googled.

Super confused, we quickly pulled out some info. Apparently, in line with Saga — Solana’s first Android fork phone, there is a new Web3 phone on the market that promises users ultra-privacy and crypto asset security.

They have named it the Above-phone (whatever that means😵‍💫) and their tagline is “Are you de-Googled?”

It’s not news that most of the big tech guns, like Google, Meta, Microsoft, etc., have been keeping track of user data. So, Above-phone wants to get you out of data scrutiny or as they like to put it — de-Googled.

The phone offers a range of decentralized apps that can be used as an alternative to data-tracking apps. It seems you can use this phone to keep your crypto assets safe and all this off-the-grid (without cell service or Wifi). And to really get people off google, Above-phone collabs with Presearch as its default decentralized search engine.

Psych right? But that’s not all.

Presearch claims to be one of the world's largest blockchain projects, with over 4 million registered users and 100 million searches a month. They also say that when set as your default web browser and search engine, Big Tech can't track your searches. Your queries are not stored, so you are completely anonymous.

The interesting thing is, we looked for Above phone on Social Media but could not spot them there 👀, truly anonymous indeed? Write to us if you spot them though!
