The market is flat like your flipflops 🩴

The broader market showcased some positive sentiments on Thursday, with coin-specific action witnessed during the day. ETH failed to move higher toward the $1,250 level and fell lower to the $1,185 level. BTC avoided the sub-$16,000 level. The global equity market is providing support to the crypto market. REN, XRP, and LTC continue to attract significant buyers' interest.

Coin of the day: Litecoin

Litecoin has shown some strength over the past week despite the slow market. The token value has been up by over 20% in the past seven days.

The best of both worlds: FIFA x Web3

Unless you are living under a rock, you probably know that the football fever is taking over the world, thanks to the FIFA world cup series. Come on, even if you are not a fan of the sport, you might have atleast watched Danish Sait’s hilarious videos about FIFA on IG, right?

While Danish is paying a comedy tribute to the game, 🇮🇳’s Web3 giant Polygon paid its tribute to the game in digital collectibles. It introduced the Polygon Football Collection - 32 digital footballs to celebrate the beautiful game and our global community building. This collection is called Around the word #onpolygon.

How does it work?

You can select your favorite team on their website and mint its digital football NFT for free. You can also check out the NFT creators from your home nation.

Hold on. Polygon isn’t the only Web3 platform contributing to FIFA festivities. Although this is Web3’s debut in the world of football, it already offers much more than the 90-minute game for football fans. We've covered all grounds, from NFTs and metaverse games to FIFA tokens.

⚽FIFA launched its own NFT platform on the Algorand blockchain in September this year. You can buy World Cup-themed packs of NFTs, which include highlights from previous World Cup games, both men's and women's. The cards include photographs and original artwork.

⚽Christino Ronaldo launched his own NFT collection featuring seven animated statues which depict iconic moments of his life.

⚽Lionnel Messi also launched his second NFT—the Messi Time Machine Collection with five new digital collectibles.

⚽FIFA collaborated with blockchain-based companies such as Uplandme, Matchday, Phygtl, and Altered State Machine to create several soccer-themed Web3 games.

⚽Upland, a metaverse that connects virtual land to real-world cities, has created a digital replica of the FIFA World Cup Lusail stadium, village, and shops.
