He also welcomed other industry players with cash to co-invest in the effort.

After this news dropped, the crypto market gained some confidence and went green by 4.3%

The market is feeling green 💚

Crypto prices stabilized after last week’s market turmoil triggered by FTX’s bankruptcy filing. The news of Binance launching a crypto recovery fund gave a fillip to the market. The industry fund aims to help crypto projects with liquidity issues.

Coin of the day: Ripple

Ripple (XRP) led the way, rising by 10.8%. The session also witnessed an upward trend among the top cryptos by market cap, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Binance coin (BNB), Dogecoin (DOGE), Polygon (MATIC), and Cardano (ADA).

✈️Namma uru’s planes can land on the metaverse too

Bengaluru gets a new Airport Terminal!

No, we’re not talking about this one 👇🏽.

We’re talking about the one on metaverse. Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has launched Metaport, in partnership with Namma Polygon, Intel, and AWS. And guess what? This is the first airport in the WORLD to offer a metaverse experience to its users.

This enables anyone to get a taste of the airport and engage in some phygital shopping, socializing, and entertainment activities available at the IRL Airport.

And how can someone get into Metaport? Simple, you need to sign in to www.blrmetaport.com. Once you are signed in, you can choose your avatar. You can even customize your avatar to your preferences by choosing from the wide range of features available.

The Metaport experience:

Once we came across the tweet announcing the launch of Metaport, we couldn’t wait to get our sticky feet in there.

Here’s an account of my experience.

• Once you enter the Metaport, you can move through two main areas—the main lobby and the art gallery.

• The UI/UX is pretty decent.

• Infrastructure is very close to the IRL Terminal 2.

• You can toggle between a first and third-person view.

• Did not spot any shops or entertainment activities yet (maybe they will roll out those features later).

But the Metaport wasn't built overnight. Polygon, AWS, and Intel joined hands with the Kempegowda International Airport to form the Joint Innovation Centre (JIC) in July 2022.

The whole point of creating JIC was to transform aviation into a tech-first industry and bring Web3 into space. And who better than India’s own Web3 Raja Polygon to do that? Right?
